In 2005 AVA Rafting expanded our trips to Idaho Springs on the Clear Creek and all for the right reasons, The Clear Creek river is way too fun not to raft on! We offer a number of different trips on the Clear Creek, which makes finding the perfect trip for you a cinch! For beginner rafters and kids 6 years and up we offer a trip called the Gold Rush. This is a class II-III trip and is about 2.5 hours long. If looking for something a little more intermediate, we offer the Upper Clear Creek ½ day and the full day Outer Limits trip. Both of these are a class IV trip. If opting for the Outer Limits, you will join us for a river side buffet style BBQ lunch. If you are looking for something a little more advanced we offer the Lower Canyon ½ day and the full day Phoenix trip. Same deal goes along with the riverside lunch for the full day advanced trip.

We offer rafting out of our outpost in Idaho Springs, but AVA also runs an extremely cool zipline course as well! Our zipline course takes about 3 hours to complete. It offers 6 zip  lines that are built through the topography of the land. There are also several special features you get to experience as well, such as a 50 ft free fall, two hanging log bridges, a skate board zipline and a dual race line! No experience is needed to zipline, so it is great for all levels! If you aren’t the fearless zipper, don’t worry you can still see the rest of your friends and family come down on the last few lines from our deck.

If you are hanging around the Denver area, or making a trip from another part of Colorado, you are sure to have a blast with AVA in Idaho Springs. Stick around after your rafting and zipline adventure for some ATV tours, hiking, and some shopping at the local stores in Idaho Springs, there is much to see and do!
