Ziplining is Nearing Its End – Plan a Zip Trip near Denver, Colorado for Your Family Adventure this Thanksgiving!

Zipline in Colorado

Ziplining is nearing the end for the 2018 season, so why not take the family on a zipline extravaganza near Denver! It is a great way to officially end the summer, before the winter ski and snowboard season begins. Not sure where to go? Here are a few places near or around the Denver area that offer great ziplines that the whole family will enjoy.

Denver Adventure Tours

Location: Conifer, CO about 35 minutes from Denver

Denver Adventure Tours offers the longest and fastest zipline with speeds up to 60 mph. You have a couple of options when you zip here. You can do the traditional zip of 6-lines, or a 4-line zipline tour in less than 2 hours. For those of you that want the ultimate trip, they offer an 8-line zipline tour which consists of the 6-line tour and you will ride the 2 longest and the 2 fastest lines twice. An extra plus is that these trips can be combined with the “zip and sip” where you can taste Colorado micro brews at their new door pub Colorado’s Best Beers.

AVA Rafting and Zipline

Location: Idaho Springs, CO which is about 30 minutes outside of Denver

AVA will have ziplining during the Thanksgiving weekend. There is even a night zipline on Thursday, so after eating turkey and mashed potatoes, you can go on out on an evening zipline tour. If that isn’t exciting enough, there is going to be a full moon on Thanksgiving night! On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they will be open normal hours, and then ziplining won’t be available until spring of 2019.

Zipline with Kids Colorado

Colorado Adventure Center

Location: Idaho Springs, CO about 30 minutes from Denver

Colorado Adventure Center will be running zipline tours during each weekend in November. The zipline includes 8 lines for guests to enjoy, with the longest being 1,200 feet. You have two different options for ziplining either normal 8 lines or the happy hour zipline which is 5 lines and takes off at 5 PM and includes a coupon for free beer or a soft drink. Stop in on Saturday or Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend for some ziplining fun!

Castle Rock Zipline

Location: Castle Rock, CO right in between Denver and Colorado Springs.

For those that want to stay in the front range, then Castle Rock Zipline is for you. There are 10 lines over a mile and a half for you to glide through with speeds that reach 50 MPH. This zipline is open year-round, so just remember to dress for the weather.

So whichever location you choose for you Thanksgiving official end of summer ziplining extravaganza, be sure to have fun and dress for the weather that day, hopefully it’ll be a nice mild fall day and if not bundle up and still enjoy the awesome ziplines!
