- Arrive at our Buena Vista outpost, check-in, and meet with your guide to gear up for your adventure
- Ride our shuttle to the river, where your guide will brief you on basic paddling techniques
- Hit the water and spend either the morning or afternoon navigating the Arkansas River, conquering class III rapids including Zoom, Flume, and Pinball
- Paddle through a national monument
- Return to the outpost review photos captured during your trip

What to expect
On Your Whitewater Rafting Adventure
Excitement with every splash
Raft the nation’s favorite stretch of river, as you paddle the Arkansas River 10 miles through Browns Canyon National Monument. Together with the rest of the crew in your boat, you will work to negotiate class III rapids, including Zoom, Flume, and Pinball. This trip is perfect family-friendly fun, and your group of all ages will have a blast conquering this intermediate whitewater.

Not only will your Brown’s Canyon half day adventure provide excitement out on the water, but beautiful scenery around every turn will keep you on the edge of your seat. You’ll pass through Browns Canyon National Monument, where the granite walls in contrast to the dazzling blue of the Arkansas will take your breath away. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, as big horn sheep, deer, elk, eagles, and other wildlife can sometimes be spotted on the banks or in the sky above.
