Our 4-hour fly-fishing float trip is unique in that each raft will have only one or two guests accompanied by one guide, making it an ideal experience for parent-child bonding, couples, or friends. Spend the day together fishing, learning technique, and enjoying the beauty of the Colorado River. Your guide will be an experienced river and fishing guide who will handle all of the rowing of the raft and instruct guests on everything they should know to be successful anglers.

On Your Fly-Fishing Adventure
Trip Overview
The trip will meet at our Kremmling Outpost, located an hour from Summit County and can accommodate up to 2 guests with your guide. Your guide will stop your raft at various points of interest along the Colorado River. Your guide knows the ins and outs of every spot and has already scoped the river, so they are able to lead you to the best fishing holes! They will make adjustments to your rig and flies accordingly to ensure you have maximum potential to be a successful angler.
AVA is a Licensed River Outfitter – Issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. All or part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under a special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
Trip Itinerary
- Meet at AVA’s Kremmling Outpost
- Gear up and head, connect with your guide, and head out on the water
- Learn the ins-and-outs of casting
- Explore the Upper Colorado’s best fly-fishing spots
- Make some great catches and memories!

Guests over the age of 16 will need to provide a valid Colorado Fishing License. Colorado Fishing Licenses can be purchased online with Colorado Parks & Wildlife, Take Me Fishing and/or at most outdoors stores.
